DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides medical supervision and supports patient treatment through skilled clinical assessment and decision making. The role works closely with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care. As a Staff Physician 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Medical Supervision: Provide clinical oversight for assigned patients and guide their medical treatment
- Diagnostic Evaluation: Interpret laboratory findings and confirm clinical evidence to support accurate diagnosis
- Clinical Care Delivery: Conduct physical exams, perform ward rounds, respond to sick calls, and make decisions regarding hospital admissions
- Consultative Services: Offer medical guidance and manage both pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients
- Preventive Health Care: Deliver preventive care services tailored to patient needs based on age, gender, and chronic conditions
- Study Review: Order and review appropriate medical studies before referring individuals to specialists

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- You may provide hospital-wide coverage during off hours, weekends, holidays, and lunch hours.
- Overtime as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
- Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
