Description
SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to support Space Systems Command Space Combat Power portfolio. Position is available in El Segundo, California.
Fun stuff you will do on the job:
- Engages with developers to evaluate software simulators, engineering units, and hardware simulators through integration activities.
- Leads technical requirements development, systems engineering, and oversees development contractor to develop, design, produce, integrate and test space systems.
- Oversees payload integration and interface control management.
- Performs system integration of multiple efforts to integrate complex space systems, ground segment integration, and deployment into operations.
- Manage and negotiate interface control documents with external stakeholders.
- Performs systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, interface definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, systems integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and development and refinement of communications concepts of operation.
- Oversees requirements verification and validation.
- Makes program risks assessments and provides actionable recommendations to the chief engineer and program manager.
- Independently collaborates with Government program office representatives, FFRDC, SETA, and contractor personnel.
Qualifications
This is you:

Bachelor of Science and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master's and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD and nine (9) years or more experience.

Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination.

Experience with space systems development, integration, and/or operations of DoD or other Agency (NRO, NSA, NASA, etc.).

Experience leading systems engineering teams focused on integration of complex space and ground systems.

Experience with system engineering processes and demonstrable expertise developing ground architectures for mission-critical systems.

Background supporting or leveraging IMINT or SIGINT Intelligence discipline

Demonstrated expertise in government acquisition strategies, documentation development, and full lifecycle program management.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to brief government stakeholders at all levels.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
