Position Overview
As a contract videographer, you will film short-form video ads designed to capture attention, build trust, and drive viewers to take action.
You will work primarily with local business owners, employees, and customers who are not trained actors. You must be comfortable directing people on camera, coaching them through short scripts, and helping them deliver lines in a confident, natural, and conversational way.
This is not a traditional cinematic filmmaking role, and we are not looking for someone who simply shows up and presses record.
You must understand how social media content is consumed. That means filming strong hooks, multiple script variations, customer testimonials, problem-and-solution scenes, direct offers, calls to action, and fast-paced B-roll that can be turned into high-performing ads.
Responsibilities
- Film short-form video ads for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Capture vertical and horizontal footage when required
- Direct business owners, employees, customers, and on-camera talent
- Coach non-actors through short scripts and talking points

- Capture engaging B-roll that supports the message of each ad
- Film customer testimonials and interview-style content
- Follow provided scripts, creative briefs, shot lists, and campaign direction
- Set up and manage camera, lighting, and professional audio equipment
- Maintain consistent framing, lighting, audio, and visual quality
- Review footage during the shoot to confirm clean takes were captured
