Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic plating team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive quality audits and inspections to verify adherence to established quality standards in production.
- Support implementation and maintenance of quality systems, including documentation, data collection, and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ASME codes & standards, and other legal requirements relevant to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor manufacturing processes, enforce quality control measures, and uphold food safety and product integrity.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports, analyze data trends, and communicate findings effectively across departments.
- Assist in the development and review of quality inspection procedures, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all inspections.
- Support corrective actions by investigating non-conformances, documenting findings, and verifying resolution effectiveness.
- Conduct daily laboratory testing per job specification. Use of gages when required.
- Sort parts for defects per job traveler, quality alert, or other instruction.
- Properly identify defective products with hold tag and report problem to supervisor. Records number and type of units rejected and reasons for rejection.
- Will provide back up support for Shipping & Receiving Clerk as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably within plating facility.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards in production processes, including GMP practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed quality audits and inspections using established protocols.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as ASME codes & standards and legal requirements applicable to manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to collect, interpret data, and generate actionable insights for process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams while maintaining a focus on quality excellence.
