Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of food trays, supplies, and equipment using safe lifting practices.
- Support food preparation and handling processes in accordance with food safety regulations to ensure quality and safety.
- Use POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service.
- Maintain a clean environment through regular cleaning duties, including sanitizing surfaces and organizing workstations.
- Provide friendly, attentive in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Assist with food running duties during busy periods to ensure prompt delivery of orders to tables or takeout areas.
- Support banquet or special event setups when required, contributing to a seamless guest experience.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper cleaning procedures is essential for maintaining hygiene standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication skills are vital for coordinating with team members and delivering excellent customer service.
- Previous banquet or catering experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is key!
