Account Executive
Position Summary:
The Account Executive will work to grow revenues from existing and new customers and deliver outstanding customer support and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in a customer service/sales position
- Experience in courier, trucking and logistics is a plus
- Strong communication skills — both written, verbal and active listening
- Ability to tailor communication style to a relationship based on the audience needs
- Ability to form relationships with internal customers to engage in successful hand-off of a new sale to the operations team
- Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
- Excellent computer skills essential
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to gather and understand detailed customer specifications and requirements
- Preparation and delivery of high-quality sales presentations
- Prepare and timely deliver detailed proposals and quotes
- Track and manage all sales opportunities
- Prospect and cultivate new opportunities including market research to define new applications and prospective customers
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Money motivated
- Excellent time management skills and high degree of organization is a must
- Ability to work independently, self-directed and self-motivated
- Experience with modern CRM system to communicate, track, and manage all activity, Hubspot experience a bonus
- Able to juggle multiple activities at once
- Flexible to work nights and weekends when necessary (though infrequently expected)
- Ability to travel to meet prospects/customers - limited overnight travel may be required though is not expected often
Job Duties:
- Understand the courier, final mile, LTL/Cargo logistics business and our company’s operations and standards
- Willing to travel to meet with customers as required, all travel expected to be same-day travel
- Manage time effectively by prioritizing work demands, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales and distribution team
- Qualify sales opportunities and assign to appropriate department/person for follow up action
- Accurately process all customer contacts and communications within the CRM system
- Work with company management and sales team to develop and reach sales goals
- Take timely action on certain phone, web and other inquiries
- Collaborate with others to build lead/sales pipeline.
- Produce lead activity and pipeline reports as required.
- Identify ways to grow revenue by continuously improving internal processes and systems
- Plan, organize, deliver and manage sales customer communication programs
- Contact via phone/email/chat/video and learn more about initiatives and challenges.
- Support/manage monthly/quarterly meetings/reporting
- Perform email/call campaigns to populate events (i.e. trade shows, open house, …)
- Organize and manage marketing events
- Pre and Post trade show preparation
- Maintain proficiency in use of personal computer and common systems and software
- Develop and utilize high levels of competence in the company’s CRM system
- Gain working knowledge of our TMS and supplemental or successor systems, as applicable
- Prepare, analyze and update reports to help identify opportunities for growth
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
First year salary and bonus expectation - $70,000 - 90,000. Candidates with excellent performance could earn over $100,000
