St. Alban’s is seeking a warm, reliable, and energetic individual to provide nurturing care for our children ages 0 – 3 years in the Nursery on Sunday mornings. If you have a passion for providing a safe and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, we’d love to talk to you.,
Position Details
- Location: St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Hickory, NC
- Schedule: Year-round, Sunday mornings only, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Additional Hours: Opportunities for additional paid hours may arise for special church functions or special days of worship, such as Christmas Eve.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside an unpaid volunteer, as a two-person team, to provide a safe, clean, and caring environment for children from infancy through age three.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, story-time, and activities.
- Follow all church policies and procedures related to childcare and safety.
- Maintain open and respectful communication with parents/guardians and church staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience working with infants and toddlers is highly preferred.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- A positive attitude and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Pass a full background check.
- Complete the "Safeguarding God's Children" program (provided by the church).
Pay: $20.00 per hour
