Texas Excel Property Management is a fast-paced, mission-driven property management company focused on efficiency, compassion, and community. We are looking for a reliable, loyal, and proactive assistant to serve as the right hand to our Corporate Operations Manager.
Job Summary:
This role goes beyond a typical office assistant position. You’ll work closely with the department head in both professional and personal support capacities - handling business tasks, errands, and occasional driving. This is an ideal role for someone who is eager to learn, take initiative, and grow into a leadership position. You’ll be trained as a second-in-command and gain invaluable experience in company operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the daily support system
- Low level accounting and financial document preparations
- Getting deposits ready
- Running items to the bank and back
- Drive or assist with transportation needs when required
- Run occasional errands (coffee, dry cleaning, office supply runs, etc.)
- Assist in property management tasks, internal operations, and scheduling
- Help manage calendars, emails, and meetings
- Communicate professionally with staff, vendors, and partners
- Handle confidential matters with care and discretion
- Be flexible and available to support varying daily needs
- Learn and take initiative in operational responsibilities to grow into a leadership role
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Professional, respectful, and eager to learn
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with emails, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools
- Flexible availability and willingness to adapt to changing needs
- A self-starter with loyalty, integrity, and ambition to grow within the company
