Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and equipment systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with automotive and industrial equipment, and excellent problem-solving skills. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including diesel engines, power generation systems, and small engines, in a dynamic environment focused on quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across various equipment and systems.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles, generators, power systems, and industrial machinery using hand tools and power tools.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately identify problems.
- Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and small engine servicing.
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems such as hydraulic or pneumatic components.
- Solder electrical connections and perform electrical diagnostics to resolve wiring or circuit issues.
- Utilize welding skills for structural or component repairs when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during equipment installation or parts replacement.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed service records and document repair procedures accurately.
- Assist with customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in automotive or industrial settings; dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, engine repair (including diesel), electrical work, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals effectively.
- Familiarity with power generation systems, generators, small engines, and heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools.
- Mechanical skills related to vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, electrical diagnostics, and system troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Pay: $24.46 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
