We are looking for a motivated, 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team.
To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:
- Lead and support hourly production associates in a high-volume stamping operation
- Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and performance
- Coordinate daily production priorities, manpower, press assignments, and workflow
- Monitor production performance and respond quickly to downtime, quality concerns, and other operational issues
- Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, Materials, Safety, and HR
- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals and priorities
- Coach, train, and develop associates while recognizing strong performance
- Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall performance
- Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed
- Build a positive, accountable work environment where employees understand how their work contributes to the success of the plant
This full-time role is a part of our Bluffton Ohio Production team and reports to the Operations Manager.
What we are looking for:
- A floor-focused leader who can earn the respect of the team while maintaining high expectations
- At least five years, previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Automotive stamping, metal forming, press operations, or similar high-volume manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving production environment
- Experience managing safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance
- A continuous-improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- A leadership style that combines accountability, consistency, respect, and employee development
