Summary
The Parking Operations Attendant is responsible for supporting the full range of Parking & Ground Transportation operations at the airport. This position serves as a multifunctional role by performing all assigned tasks, staffing parking attendant booths, shuttle driving, lot monitoring, customer assistance, and special event support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist passengers by providing excellent customer support when giving directions and information regarding the surrounding area, parking operations, Parking reservation system, and airport facilities

Staff Parking Attendant booths by performing duties such as operating point of sale systems, processing payments accurately, and issuing receipts while following all established cash handling procedures

Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers with entry and exit tied to the parking reservation system

Assist passengers by loading and unloading luggage, carrying it up and down steps, and placing the luggage onto racks

Operate shuttle vehicles to transport passengers safely between parking lots and terminal areas, follow designated routes, and maintain a clean and safe vehicle

Assist passengers and members of the public with questions and concerns about the reservation system leading to successful use and maintenance of the system

Support special events as needed by directing traffic, assisting guests, monitoring temporary or overflow parking areas, and helping ensure smooth traffic flow during peak times or large gatherings

Monitor the parking lots to ensure proper use and safety, including identifying and cleaning up debris and reporting any incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate contact

Occasionally assist passengers with minor car repairs, such as jumping a battery or pumping up a tire

Occasionally drive or work in adverse weather conditions, regardless of road condition, and in inclement weather

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Understanding of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary to operate large equipment

Maintain availability to be on call on a rotating schedule

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations

Ability to operate a two-way radio, computer, and phone

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

Ability to exercise independent initiative

Ability to communicate courteously with the public, coworkers, and supervisors
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year of relevant required

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screening test and fit-for-duty examination

Hold and maintain valid U.S. driver's license with 3 years of verifiable driving history
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience driving a shuttle bus or closely related equipment
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Essential and marginal functions may require driving, sitting, lifting, standing, or other repetitive motions when performing tasks and for extended periods of time

Adequate vision, hearing, range of motion, and speech required

Ability to operate in an environment with frequent interruptions from people and or noises, which in return could result in some level of stress, fatigue, or strain

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
