American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring the ability to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases.

Work in the CVOR unit of a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center
-
13-week assignment with day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
-
Average patient ratio of 1:2
-
On-call requirements include two 24-hour calls per schedule and 2 calls per Monday-Friday week (either 7p-11p or 7a-7p), with 1 day per week available to stay late

Required to float within scope to meet facility needs

Uses Epic charting system
-
Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required

Must be able to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases

Skills required include Cardiovascular procedures such as Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal defect repair, CABG, Femoral Cannulation, IABP, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, and LVAD/RVAD

Provide independent scrubbing and circulating support for complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures

Work within a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center setting

Scrubs are provided

Flu vaccine is required with no declinations accepted

COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only

RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval

Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position

Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
