Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our dynamic eye care team! Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient intake processes, including verifying insurance and entering patient information into REV.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing clinic flow, and handling administrative tasks related to medical billing and coding.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical office settings or optometry office is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as REV or similar platforms; experience with insurance billing is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
- Retail sales experience or familiarity with optical products is advantageous; strong math skills for retail transactions are beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
