Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues efficiently.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components.
- Service tires, perform alignments, and replace wheel bearings to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety.
- Repair diesel engines and work with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to calibrate sensors for modern vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to execute repairs accurately while adhering to safety standards.
- Complete oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist with auto body repairs when necessary and contribute to overall vehicle maintenance efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
- Support auto estimating processes by assessing repair requirements accurately for efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various systems.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and schematics is essential for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and powertrain components is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, oil change procedures, alignment techniques, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to foster positive client relationships.
- Certifications related to automotive repair or specific systems (e.g., ASE certification) are advantageous but not mandatory.
