SMX is seeking a Senior All-Source Intelligence Analysts with specialized experience in counter-narcotics (CN) and counter-transnational organized crime (CTOC) operations to support USSOUTHCOM efforts. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of threat networks, cross-border criminal activity, and regional dynamics in the Western Hemisphere. This role will lead analytical efforts to identify, track, and dismantle transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) and narcotics trafficking networks.
As a Senior All Source Intelligence Analyst you will leverage publicly available information (PAI), non-traditional intelligence gathering and exploitation methods to provide our customers with insight to counter counterdrug (CD) and counter trans-national organized crime (CTOC). The Team utilizes commercial subscriptions, social media, financial transactions, and open-sourced geospatial data to identify, disrupt, and interdict trans-national threat networks responsible for illicit drug trafficking, illicit financial flows, and the illicit trafficking of people, wildlife, natural resources, and weapons.
This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide expert intelligence analysis focused on threat network development for actors operating in, though, or connected to the USSOUTHCOM AOR
- Research, author, and disseminate products in accordance with the latest ODNI Intelligence Community Directive 203 (ICD-203)
- Collaborating with the Intelligence Community, interagency, law enforcement, and Partner Nations to share findings, identify collection opportunities, and develop collection requirements aligned with the USSOUTHCOM Commander's Priority Intelligence Requirements
- Coordinate across USSOUTHCOM elements to build and present analytic findings to senior leadership, interagency partners, and Partner Nation counterparts
Core responsibilities include:
- Identify threat networks using industry, market, and agency-provided data
- Fuse multi-discipline intelligence (HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, FININT) into finished products
- Conduct all-source analysis on Transnational Criminal Organizations, Foreign Terrorist Organizations, Violent Extremist Organizations, and other designated threats
- Support campaign/mission analysis, HVI targeting, ISR planning, and nodal analysis
- Provide input to government objectives and prepare threat network intelligence products
- Develop individual and group targeting packages
- Conduct document/media exploitation and publish operational-level analysis
- Support force protection, indications and warnings, and senior leader briefings
- Participate in VTCs and interagency engagements; provide written and verbal analysis
- Mentor junior analysts and lead teams during high-priority operations
- Assist with intelligence support to investigations, deconfliction, and targeting
- Support the quarterly and annual reviews for those individuals
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in intelligence, criminal justice, international relations, or related field (master's preferred)
- Expertise in threat network analysis and development
- Knowledge of law enforcement frameworks, targeting processes, and legal authorities (Title 10/50/18/21)
- Strong communication, briefing, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with tools such as Palantir, Analyst Notebook, TAC, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Regional expertise in Latin America, TCO tactics, and cross-border smuggling
- Experience supporting joint task forces, border security, or counterdrug operations
- At least 5 years in all-source intelligence analysis, including 3+ years in CN/CTOC
- Skilled in open-source and all-source analytic principles and tools
- Familiarity with databases, visualization platforms, and search techniques
- Understanding of SIGINT, HUMINT, MASINT, GEOINT, and OSINT disciplines
