Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and licensed LPC to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, with expertise in working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults. As an LPC at our practice, you will provide comprehensive mental health services while ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to build or expand your caseload within a supportive practice environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and intake evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to client needs.
- Implement specialized interventions including child & family counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care.
- Communicate effectively with clients and maintain professional boundaries
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate as a team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice
Qualifications
- Active LPC license in Texas (in good standing)
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field
- Experience providing therapeutic services within outpatient or inpatient settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy
- Experience working with different populations
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with ICD coding systems for diagnostic evaluation.
