American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Inpatient position in Louisburg, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and strong de-escalation skills on a night shift schedule.

Works in a dedicated 33-bed inpatient psychiatric unit within a Joint Commission accredited acute care hospital

Unit serves adult and geriatric behavioral health patient populations

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:10

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Every other weekend required

Floating required between geriatric and adult behavioral health units
-
No on-call requirements

EMR: Paragon
-
13-week contract
-
Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Required certifications: BLS (AHA), and one of the following: CPI, NVCI, or HWC — all must be current

ADN or higher education required

Strong de-escalation skills required

Strong communication skills required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Provides nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute behavioral health inpatient setting

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

AHA-issued certifications are required
