Job Title: Sr In-Plant Logistics Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: Direct Hire Full Time Role
Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage systems, and material flow processes to maximize efficiency and space utilization.
- Develop and implement material handling strategies, including line-side delivery, replenishment, and transportation routes.
- Conduct material flow analysis and simulations to identify bottlenecks and improve operational performance.
- Lead warehouse setup, relocation, and transformation projects, including high-bay racking systems and logistics infrastructure.
- Analyze warehouse operations and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Define and standardize processes for receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Develop inventory management strategies and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor warehouse effectiveness.
- Support the implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP logistics processes.
- Perform safety assessments, risk analyses, and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, production, and customer teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, layouts, and project plans for stakeholder review.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse planning, warehouse engineering, or in-plant logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse layout design, storage concepts, and material handling systems.
- Hands-on experience in material flow analysis and logistics process optimization.
- Experience leading process improvement, warehouse setup, or transformation projects.
- Solid understanding of supply chain operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
