Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients struggling with substance abuse
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collect data on client progress and outcomes to inform treatment decisions
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to support behavior change
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and recovery
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Proficiency in medical records management and documentation
- Experience in mental health counseling, particularly in the area of substance abuse
- Ability to collect and analyze data to inform treatment planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective counseling sessions
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques to address immediate client needs
- Understanding of applied behavior analysis principles for behavior change interventions
