Job description:
Locum contract for 13 weeks in Lawrence, KS with the potential for extension.
We are seeking a qualified Locum Medical Physicist to provide comprehensive clinical physics support for a radiation oncology department. Responsibilities include weekly, initial, and final chart checks; special physics consultations; machine quality assurance (QA); collaboration with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists; oversight of machine repairs and troubleshooting equipment issues; and other clinical medical physics duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible and capable of working independently in a clinical environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality.
Clinic Information:
- This position is based in Lawrence, KS
- 5 days of onsite overage per week
- MOSAIQ/Monaco/MIM w/ all Sun Nuclear QA Equipment
- This clinic has an incredibly welcoming team
- 3d, IMRT, SBRT
- Patient load is 20-35 patients per day
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards and regulation requirements
- Perform quality assurance on Varian Equipment
- Adhere to client and company policies and procedures
- Consult with radiation oncologists and staff
- Perform routine physics services

Education and Experience Requirements:
- ABR Certified Medical Physicist or Board Eligible
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics
- Valid State Registration/Approval
- Valid Driver’s License
