Maintenance Technician
Comstock Metals LLC is pioneering the recycling of end-of-life electrification products, including solar panels, to prevent landfill waste while recovering valuable metals for reuse. You will serve as the Maintenance Technician who is responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, utilities, and support equipment. This position ensures equipment reliability, minimizes production downtime, and supports a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

As an ideal candidate, we expect you to have:
- · 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, recycling, mining, chemical processing, or other heavy industrial environments.
- · Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience maintaining motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial equipment up to 480V.
- · Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical controls, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial automation systems to minimize downtime.
- · Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices with the ability to safely operate power tools, precision measuring instruments, and maintenance software.
- · OSHA and safety-focused professional with strong problem-solving abilities; welding, forklift, aerial lift, NFPA 70E, and other technical certifications are a plus.
Your specific responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician will include:
- · Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- · Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and material handling equipment.
- · Diagnose equipment failures using electrical testing equipment, interpreted mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, and completed equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- · Complete welding, fabrication, and equipment repairs while maintaining accurate maintenance records, managing parts inventory, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- · Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and hot work requirements, while responding to emergency breakdowns and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
