Overview:
The RN Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical education programs for Flagler
Hospital employees. This position delivers educational trainings using a variety of mediums while assessing employee
training needs and performing ongoing evaluation of implemented programs
Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and maintains clinical education programs for Flagler Hospital employees and members of the community.

Develops unit-specific orientation programs, educational programs, and computer-based learning modules.

Coordinates annual competency validation for staff.

Coordinates student programs.

Serves as a primary resource person for Flagler Hospital employees with regards to clinical education and training
programs. -
Provides educational offerings through a variety of media including lectures, written materials, on-line presentations, role-playing and other media, as appropriate.

Complies with education-related record keeping requirements.

Assists with development of policies and procedures, related to clinical education programs.

Maintains current working knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission requirements as applied to development and implementation of educational programs
Qualifications:
Experience Requirements: 3 years Clinical Nursing
Additional Information Requirement: BSN required or required within 1 year of hire

Preferences:
Experience with analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and accrediting body regulations; Experience in use
of performance improvement-related statistics in evaluating program effectiveness.
Additional Information: Experience with development and implementation of clinical education programs required including experience in formal program evaluation.
Licensing Requirements: Active FL Nursing License, Basic Life Support (BLS)
