Position Summary
Security is responsible for the safety, security, and fire prevention across all club facilities and grounds. Through regular patrols and attentive observation ensuring a secure environment for members, guests, and employees while protecting club property and assets. This role requires timely, accurate reporting and consistent enforcement of club safety standards, always conducted with the tact and professionalism befitting a private membership club.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors access to club facilities, noting all persons entering and departing; remains alert to suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals
- Develops familiarity with club members and their guests; greets individuals courteously and by name whenever possible, reinforcing the club's culture of personalized service
- Conducts regular patrols of the clubhouse, grounds, parking areas, and all club facilities
- Ensures all interior and exterior doors are secured in accordance with club policy
- Enforces club rules and employee policies with professionalism and respect
- Responds promptly to emergency, fire, and security alarms; contacts appropriate club management and/or emergency services as warranted
- Administers CPR and First Aid when necessary
- Prevents unauthorized vehicles and individuals from accessing club parking and private areas
- Identifies and reports deficiencies in security measures or physical plant conditions
- Maintains an accurate, detailed security log of all shift activity
- Completes all assignments as directed by the Assistant General Manager
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior service in the U.S. Armed Forces or law enforcement (municipal, state, or county) is a strong asset
- Previous experience in a security or hospitality-related role preferred
Licenses & Requirements
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods throughout a shift
- Exposure to variable outdoor conditions including heat, humidity, cold, and rain
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks as required by the role
- Comfortable working in low-light or nighttime conditions
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
