Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is a hands-on engineering role responsible for the design, development, and optimization of precision machining processes. This position combines engineering, CAD/CAM programming, CNC machining, tooling design, and continuous improvement to support production of high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, design tooling and fixtures, programming CNC equipment, and collaborating directly with machinists to improve quality, productivity, and throughput.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of precision machining projects while developing new manufacturing processes from concept through production. You’ll have the autonomy to design tooling, create programs, improve machining processes, and see your ideas implemented on the shop floor.
Job Responsibilities
- ·Design and implement manufacturing processes that consistently meet customer, quality, and production requirements
- Design, develop, and implement tooling and gauging solutions.
- Create, prove out, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for milling, turning, and secondary machining operations
- Specify, design, and procure cutting tools, work holding, fixtures, gauges, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to support production associates and address any manufacturing issues.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to drive continuous process improvements, enhance product quality, improve delivery times, increase throughput, and reduce costs.
- Support new product launches and continuous improvement activities with PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) teams.

Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, tooling design, or precision machining.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software used for CNC programming (Fusion, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Experience with Multi-Spindle Lathes, CNC, Additive manufacturing, Centerless Grinding, Robotics, and Broaching preferred
- Experience with Design of Experiments and process improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and geometric tolerances.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification is preferred
