Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient processing
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive experience from start to finish
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen support to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating arrangements and managing waitlists
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts with multiple tables or stations
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and bill splitting
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience enhances guest relations capabilities
