American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital Main OR setting in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Hospital Main OR setting with a focus on CVOR cases, primarily open heart surgery
-
In the absence of CVOR cases, participation in other surgical specialties is expected
-
Floating to other units or hospitals may be required
-
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
-
Emergency call participation required every third week for 7 consecutive days

Holiday coverage is required
-
Meditech EMR in use (experience not required)

Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in CVOR or the specialty being applied for

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Completion of one of the following: College Anatomy and Physiology I, Central Sterile Processing Technician certification, or a hospital-approved Surgical Tech certificate course

BLS certification from the AHA or Red Cross required

Active state or compact license required if applicable — no pending or temporary licenses accepted

No hits on licensure record (past or current) permitted

Full SSN, current driver's license, 2 professional references within the last year, and license verification via NURSYS required for consideration

Works under the supervision of an RN to deliver patient care and maintain standards of surgical practice

Responsible for maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families and supporting fellow team members

No HealthStream modules required prior to start — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation

Solid navy scrubs required
