Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store
- Operate cash registers and handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Conduct product demos and provide information to customers about store items to encourage sales
- Upsell complementary products by identifying customer needs and offering suitable options
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and following store layout guidelines
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in hardware or grocery stores
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate cash handling
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Experience in product demos, upselling, and providing excellent cashiering services
- Basic math skills for balancing cash drawers and processing transactions accurately
