Job Description
Queen City Sportsplex is looking to hire an experienced housekeeper to join our existing cleaning staff. Qualified candidates will have previous professional cleaning experience. Candidates who have done similar cleaning work in the past will be preferred. This is a weekend only position, with hours starting as early at 6AM and ending as late at 12AM.
As a housekeeper, your role will involve completing a variety of cleaning tasks. This will include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, refilling supplies, and other tasks as needed. In order to be successful in the position, candidates will need to be capable of working efficiently without compromising standards for cleanliness and with minimal supervision.
Housekeepers spend the majority of their shifts on their feet. Candidates will need to have the physical strength and stamina necessary to accomplish this each day.
Scheduling is built based on ice and court rentals during the day.
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
You will be asked to complete a wide variety of cleaning tasks. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping
- Replacing toiletries
- Performing other cleaning tasks on courts, rinks, lobbies, locker rooms, offices and building exterior
- Checking and maintaining stock of relevant supplies and equipment
- Ensure that all company standards for cleanliness are met consistently
- Adhere to strict health and safety requirements
- Utilize cleaning practices that protect equipment and furniture
- Interact with customers as needed, including dealing with reasonable requests and complaints with professionalism and patience
- Work well with Queen City Sportsplex staff
- Report and return lost property
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety, and damage concerns, and the loss of property promptly to supervisor
Housekeeping Requirements:
- Previous experience as a housekeeper or in another professional cleaning role
- High school degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of the English language
- The ability to work efficiently while meeting company standards and prioritizing assigned tasks
- The ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- The physical stamina and strength needed to stand and work for ten hours each day
- Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
