Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, welding/fabrication, preventative maintenance programs, and general mechanical repair in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving motors, control panels, relays, sensors, switches, and PLC-related components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform welding and fabrication work using MIG, TIG, stick, or flux-core welding processes as required.
- Repair or fabricate machine guards, supports, frames, piping, and structural components.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other industrial equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify safety hazards, equipment failures, or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and equipment breakdowns as needed.
- Assist with equipment installations, facility upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial environment.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems including 120V, 240V, and 480V equipment.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and amp meters.
- Welding and metal fabrication experience required.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or on-call schedules when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Welding, or related field.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and VFDs.
- Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift certification.
- Experience in preventative maintenance software systems (CMMS).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, or dusty environments.
- Ability to safely wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, welding shields, and hearing protection.
Work Environment
This position operates in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, welding operations, and varying temperatures.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
