Job Summary
We are established retailer of over 30 years seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate specializing in Outdoor Furniture to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge to enhance the shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and sales skills will help customers select the perfect outdoor furniture solutions while ensuring smooth store operations. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting outdoor furniture that meets their needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product features through engaging demos, highlighting benefits and usage.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit, and debit payments with professionalism.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product care, materials, and outdoor furniture maintenance.
- Upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with courteous communication and effective phone etiquette.
- Assist with inventory management by stocking new merchandise and conducting regular stock checks.
- Support team members with supervising tasks when needed, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Must be available to work weekends.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in outdoor furniture or home goods retail environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math skills.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations and upselling techniques.
- Knowledge of merchandising standards and stock management practices.
