Job Summary:
Contributes to the team by assisting the physician with the performance of surgical procedures and instruments.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Certified Surgical Tech who meets eligibility requirements to test for CFA.
Licensure: Certification in Surgical Technology and CFA, or obtains within one (1) year of employment.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years training in surgical technology from a comparable medical institution.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: The basic knowledge of duties and responsibilities of the Surgical Technician. The ability to communicate with co-workers in a professional manner. The ability to learn procedures, instruments, and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Certified First Assist. Completion of wound closure class.
Licensure: None.
