Attend weekly BEO and production meetings to plan for upcoming events.
-
Oversee prep, production, pack lists, and quality control.
-
Create clear plans and communicate priorities to the culinary team.
-
Support ordering, inventory, walk-in organization, and waste reduction.
-
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization standards are consistently followed.
-
Assist with on-site event execution when needed.
-
Lead, mentor, and support chefs and cooks at varying levels of experience.
-
Help build a kitchen culture centered around professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.
-
Support scheduling, daily assignments, and long-term team development.
-
Help identify future leaders within the culinary team and create opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
-
4–5+ years of progressive culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen.
-
Previous experience in a leadership role such as Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or a comparable position.
-
Catering, events, hospitality, or multi-brand experience strongly preferred.
-
Strong knowledge of menu development, production planning, inventory, and food safety.
-
Ability to balance hands-on kitchen leadership with organization and long-term planning.
-
Clear communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate across departments.
-
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
This role is ideal for a chef who wants to help shape culinary programs, develop a strong team, and work closely with the Executive Chef to elevate the guest experience across The LUX Group.
