American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time day shift contract position in South Dakota, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience.

13-week contract assignment

Rehabilitation therapy setting working alongside a registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Works with patients and residents experiencing illness, injury, or disability to improve ability to perform daily activities

Active COTA state license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a COTA

Date of birth (DOB) and SSN may be required for consideration

Implements OT-established treatment plans in accordance with AOTA guidelines, state and federal regulations, and applicable practice acts

Documents occupational therapy services in resident medical records and prepares required documentation for billing and discharge planning purposes

Monitors residents' environments to identify barriers to therapy and recovery, and communicates recommendations to the supervising OT

Provides functional status and assessment data as assigned by the OT or rehabilitation director during defined observation periods

Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, and business development meetings as required
