We are currently seeking a Sign Fabricator to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their fabrication skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, high-quality shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication of custom architectural signage including monument signs, cabinet signs, illuminated signage, channel letters, and architectural structures.
- Interpret and execute shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents with minimal oversight.
- Perform advanced metal fabrication tasks including cutting, forming, fitting, welding, and finishing (aluminum and steel).
- Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and collaborate with production management, design, and field teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of work quality and perform regular quality control inspections.
- Mentor and support apprentice and junior fabricators, promoting best practices and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support material handling and receiving as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on sign fabrication or architectural metal fabrication experience.
- Strong MIG welding skills; TIG welding & laser welding experience is desirable.
- Ability to independently read, interpret, and execute complex shop drawings.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment including saws, shears, brakes, rollers, and ironworker machine.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical components for illuminated signage.
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard for fit, finish, and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience mentoring junior fabricators.
- Experience with architectural signage and custom metalwork.
- TIG welding and/ or laser welding experience.
- Familiarity with shop safety standards and best practices.
Position Details
- Full-time, in-office position
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts
- OT and weekends may be required
