Job Summary
The Retail Operations Manager will directly support the Home Depot Retail Accounts team by operating in lockstep with the National Field Sales Coordinator, serving as the bridge between the retail sales and channel marketing teams, owning and overseeing all THD project planning and execution alongside the Retail Corporate Account Managers, and serving as the primary point of contact for the THD Projects, POG, and Space Planning Teams
Essential Job Duties

- Responsible for gathering key information from Retail Corporate Account Managers to develop proactive field sales strategies, initiatives, and executions to share with the National Field Sales Coordinator

Serves as the bridge between the retail sales team and the THD channel marketing business unit during store executions

Facilitates THD project planning alongside Retail CAMs and the channel marketing team for signage, fixturing, and other in-store environment assets

Responsible for overseeing MLX/MET projects from inception to end, including support in instructions/RIG writing, POG creation, store-level asks, and auditing

Maintains ownership of, and monitors changes in assortments/AMTs/POGs monthly to relay any new findings to the CAM team

Owns the relationship between the retail sales team and the THD MET projects, POG development and space planning teams, and will serve as the primary contact for MET leaders

Conducts field research as needed by traveling to focus markets alongside the National Field Sales Coordinator ahead of MET/MLX projects, promotional periods, and market-specific executions, including regional THD-scheduled store walks, delivering findings to CAM team

Maintains accurate demo tool lists for trade shows and all proof-of-concept merchandising spaces

Skills Required

4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Home Depot supplier-facing systems including but not limited to Supplier Hub, MLX/Merch Logix, and The Home Depot’s Planogram Portal

Experience in and knowledge of Home Depot store project planning, initiation, execution, and in-store environment standards
-
Experience in/around large-scale, “Big Box” retail
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based out of our Flowery Branch, Georgia office with semi-frequent visits to area Home Depot stores, other THD markets, alongside CAM and THD Merchant teams, as well as other travel as needed. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Travel
Travel required for meetings, training seminars, trade shows, and end-user presentations.
Education and/or Experience Desired

Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field preferred.
