Hopelands Coffee is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and outgoing team member to represent our specialty coffee brand at the Windsor Farmers Market.
We are especially interested in candidates who can commit to working every Saturday through the end of the market season.

Hopelands Coffee is a Colorado-based specialty coffee company bringing premium specialty coffee directly from the highlands of Honduras to Colorado.
Our company was inspired by the founder’s mother, Esperanza, and built around a simple belief:

This is not simply a cashier position.
You will be representing Hopelands Coffee, telling our story, educating customers about our coffee, offering samples, building relationships, and helping turn conversations into sales.

Market Hours: 8:00 AM–12:30 PM
IMPORTANT: Market setup begins before opening. Team members should generally be prepared to arrive around 6:00–6:30 AM.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour + tips
Tips may typically range from approximately $40–$80 per market, depending on customer traffic and sales. Tips are not guaranteed.

PAID TRAINING + REQUIRED SALES MANUAL
Previous coffee experience is not required. We will teach you what you need to know.
However, selected candidates will be required to review and study the Hopelands Coffee Sales & Market Manual BEFORE attending their first training day.
The manual will introduce you to:
- The Hopelands Coffee story
- Our coffee and its Honduran origin
- Specialty coffee basics
- How to approach customers
- How to offer samples and start conversations
- How to explain our products
- Our sales process
- Customer service expectations
- Market procedures and responsibilities
Your hands-on training is paid.
IMPORTANT — TRAINING LOCATION
Training is conducted in person during an active Saturday farmers market.
Because of this, you must be willing to attend your paid training at the location where our Market Manager or trainer is available that Saturday.
Training may take place in:
Louisville Denver Windsor
Your training location may be different from Windsor.
Applicants must therefore be willing and able to travel to the assigned training location on a Saturday.
YOU MUST BE COMFORTABLE TALKING TO PEOPLE
This is one of the most important requirements of the position.
We are looking for people who are not afraid or embarrassed to approach customers and start conversations.
At a farmers market, we don't simply stand behind the table and wait for someone to buy coffee.
You will be expected to:
- Smile and greet people walking by
- Confidently approach potential customers
- Offer coffee samples
- Start natural conversations
- Ask customers questions
- Tell the Hopelands Coffee story
- Explain what makes our coffee different
- Educate customers about specialty coffee
- Recommend products
- Encourage sales without being pushy
- Build relationships with returning customers
If you are extremely shy or uncomfortable initiating conversations with strangers, this position may not be the right fit for you.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGMarket Operations
- Arrive early for market setup
- Transport market equipment if assigned
- Set up tables, displays, signage, inventory, and brewing equipment
- Prepare the booth before customers arrive
- Maintain a clean and professional booth throughout the market
Customer Experience & Sales
- Greet customers enthusiastically
- Offer coffee samples
- Start conversations with market visitors
- Share the Hopelands Coffee story
- Educate customers about our coffee
- Answer questions about origin, flavor notes, roasting, and brewing
- Recommend products based on customer preferences
- Encourage sales
- Build relationships with repeat customers
Transactions & Inventory
- Process transactions using Square POS and cash
- Handle payments accurately
- Track inventory and product movement
- Monitor stock levels
- Keep the product display organized
- Assist with end-of-day sales reporting
End of Market
- Break down tables, displays, and equipment
- Organize remaining inventory
- Load equipment
- Help prepare everything for the following market
TRANSPORTATION & EQUIPMENT
Reliable transportation is required.
Because this position may involve transporting market equipment, priority consideration may be given to applicants with vehicles that have sufficient cargo space, such as an SUV, crossover, truck, van, or similar vehicle.
Market equipment may include:
- Folding tables
- Display materials
- Signage
- Coffee inventory
- Brewing equipment
- Tent
- Tent weights
- Other market supplies
Applicants should be comfortable helping transport, set up, and break down equipment.
You should also be able to safely lift and carry approximately 30–40 pounds.
STORAGE
This position may require storing a small amount of Hopelands Coffee market equipment between Saturdays.
Storage can typically be accommodated in a:
- Garage
- Basement
- Storage room
- Shed
- Similar secure area

Previous experience in retail, sales, customer service, hospitality, coffee shops, food service, events, or farmers markets is helpful but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.
