About Megna Painting
Megna Painting is a family-owned residential painting company serving the Madison area. Our reputation has been built through exceptional craftsmanship, honest communication, and treating every customer’s home with care and respect.
We’re looking for more than someone to manage projects, we’re looking for someone who wants to become a trusted leader and play a significant role in the future of our company.
About the Role
As our Field Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day execution of residential painting projects. You’ll lead our field operations by coordinating crews, supporting homeowners, maintaining quality standards, solving problems, and ensuring every project reflects the level of excellence our company is known for.
Your success won’t be measured simply by whether projects get finished. It will be measured by how smoothly they run, how happy our customers are, how efficiently our crews perform, and how confidently the owners know things are being handled.
What You’ll Do
- Lead multiple residential painting projects from start to finish.
- Conduct project start meetings with homeowners and crews.
- Communicate daily with our Spanish-speaking painters, providing direction, answering questions, and keeping projects moving.
- Visit job sites regularly to ensure exceptional workmanship, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
- Identify and solve problems before they affect customers.
- Complete final walkthroughs and ensure every homeowner is delighted with the finished project.
- Coordinate schedules, labor, materials, and equipment.
- Order paint and materials as needed.
- Keep accurate project notes, labor hours, and production updates.
- Work closely with our office team to keep projects organized and on schedule.
- Coach and develop crew members while maintaining high standards of professionalism and craftsmanship.
- Continually look for opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, communication, and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Residential painting experience required.
- Experience leading crews or managing projects.
- Fluent spoken English and Spanish.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable using smartphones and basic computer software.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
You…
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
- Earn respect through consistency, humility, and follow-through.
- Communicate clearly with both homeowners and crews.
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Notice details that others overlook.
- Believe quality matters.
- Care about people as much as production.
- Leave every project better than you found it.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means:
- Homeowners enthusiastically recommend Megna Painting to friends and family.
- Crews know exactly what is expected of them each day.
- Jobs stay organized, profitable, and on schedule.
- Problems are solved before they become complaints.
- Quality remains consistently excellent.
- The owners can confidently focus on growing the business because they know field operations are in capable hands.
