Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Part-Time Grooming Assistant (Bather) to join our grooming team. This role is primarily responsible for bathing dogs for our grooming department, while also supporting additional bathing and spa services across the resort.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment.
Schedule Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
- 4 days per week
- Must be available Mondays
- Hours: 6:45 AM – 1:00 PM
- Every other Saturday required
Key Responsibilities:
- Bathe and prep dogs for grooming services (including drying, brushing, and basic prep work)
- Assist groomers in maintaining an efficient workflow
- Provide bathing and spa services for daycare and boarding guests as needed
- Monitor animal behavior and ensure safe handling at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming areas
- Support team members with general resort needs when necessary
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a grooming or pet care environment required
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Fear Free Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
