Ray Skillman Kia West Service Writer / Advisor Job Responsibilities and Duties:
· Listen to customers’ account of issues and symptoms to better understand the vehicles problem
· Perform inspections to narrow down what the cause of the problem may be
· Verify warranty, insurance or contract coverage for service
· Calculate and provide customers with an estimate of these expenses for resolving the problem
· Explain process to clients so they understand what to expect and when their vehicle will be repaired
· Record information gathered from each visit in appropriate database
· Draft order for repair with all information that has been gathered outlined clearly
· Work with supervisors, repairmen and the rest of team to provide a positive and convenient resolution for customer.
· Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.
· Maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
· Working with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.
· Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
Ray Skillman Kia West Service Writer / Advisor Skills and Qualifications
· Proficiency with industry-specific software; Reynolds
· Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
· The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management.
· Ability to lift 25-30 pounds· A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry. 2-3 years’ experience preferred
