We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Librarian to join our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and controlling all technical publications required to support maintenance, inspection, overhaul, and repair operations.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that maintenance personnel have access to current, accurate, and approved technical data in compliance with FAA regulations, OEM requirements, and the Repair Station Quality Control Manual.
Key Responsibilities
● Maintain and control the company’s technical publications library, ensuring all manuals are current and properly distributed.
● Manage revisions, updates, and subscriptions for OEM technical documentation.
● Maintain electronic and hard-copy libraries of:
● Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM)
● Structural Repair Manuals (SRM)
● Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC)
● Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
● Engine Maintenance Manuals (EMM)
● Overhaul Manuals (OHM)
● Service Bulletins (SB)
● Service Letters (SL)
● Airworthiness Directives (AD)
● Technical Orders and engineering data, when applicable.
● Verify that all maintenance personnel use the latest approved revisions of technical documentation.
● Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Engineering to ensure technical data complies with FAA Part 145 requirements.
● Monitor OEM publication services and ensure timely implementation of revisions.
● Maintain records demonstrating compliance with document control procedures.
● Support internal and external audits (FAA, customers, AS9110, etc.) related to technical documentation.
● Assist in developing and improving document control procedures.
● Provide technical manual support to mechanics, inspectors, planners, and engineering personnel.
● Organize and archive obsolete documentation according to company procedures.
Required Qualifications
● Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Librarian or Technical Publications Specialist in an aviation maintenance environment.
● Experience working within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or equivalent aviation maintenance organization.
● Strong knowledge and experience managing:
● Airframe Maintenance Manuals
● Engine Maintenance Manuals
● Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
● Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC)
● Structural Repair Manuals (SRM)
● Familiarity with OEM technical publications from manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, Collins Aerospace, Safran, Parker, Eaton, Hamilton Sundstrand, GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, and similar manufacturers.
● Working knowledge of FAA regulations applicable to technical data control.
● Strong understanding of document revision control processes.
● Excellent organizational and document management skills.
● High attention to detail and accuracy.
● Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with electronic technical publication management systems.
● Familiarity with CAMP, Corridor, Quantum, or other aviation ERP/MRO software.
● Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and Repair Station documentation requirements.
● Experience supporting FAA surveillance and customer audits.
● AS9110 or ISO 9001 document control experience.
● Understanding of Engineering Orders, DER-approved repairs, and technical disposition documentation.
Education
● Bachelor’s degree preferred in Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Management, Engineering Technology, Technical Documentation, or related field.
● Equivalent aviation experience may be considered.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
