Field of testing includes, but not limited to:
- Performing various lab tests on soil, rock, concrete, and other construction materials according to industry standards.
- Performing field tests such as: soil compaction, moisture content, density tests, and sampling / testing fresh concrete.
- Performing special inspections such as: rebar, steel, masonry, and concrete inspections.
Responsibilities/ Qualifications:
- Participate in assisting our CMT Departments in both the lab and field with various test and inspections.
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city, and county officials as well as clients.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specifications.
- Understand basic construction terminology and processes
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience is preferred
- Strong leadership qualities and negotiation skills
- Team player
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software
- Good clean communication skills - verbal and written
- Capable of applying hands-on fieldwork with technical data
- Ability to lift and transport material samples and equipment
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
