About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Shopping Center Manager to support the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties, including a dynamic lifestyle center. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and is passionate about creating vibrant retail and community experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management and operations of the portfolio of properties, including retail, dining, and entertainment tenants
- Serve as a point of contact for tenants, vendors, and customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Coordinate maintenance requests and work closely with service providers to ensure timely resolution
- Support lease administration, including tracking critical dates, rent collections, and compliance requirements
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards are maintained
- Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting
- Collaborate with marketing teams on events, promotions, and community engagement initiatives
- Help manage vendor contracts and monitor performance
- Maintain accurate records, files, and reports related to property operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in commercial property management, retail management, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with property management software is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in retail centers, mixed-use developments, or lifestyle centers
- Basic understanding of leases, CAM reconciliations, and property financials
- Customer-service mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
