Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, residential and renovation projects. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations safely on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently while adhering to safety procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards for electrical safety procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations for compliance audits and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage wiring techniques along with experience working with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes, NEC standards, NFPA 70 compliance requirements, and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; and diagnostic equipment like ohmmeters.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues quickly using diagnostic techniques and tools.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.
- Additional nice-to-have skills include programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician experience, handyman skills, blueprint reading expertise, schematics interpretation, frame carpentry knowledge, high voltage experience, and familiarity with construction site safety protocols.
