Responsibilities:
The Neuroscience Technologist will perform the following job duties:

Perform a full range of routine to complex neurological EEG studies on adult and pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Conduct EEG procedures, including bedside video EEG monitoring and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) studies.

Perform Evoked Potential testing, including Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER) and Auditory Evoked Response (AER) studies.

Perform routine to complex Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in the outpatient setting.

Conduct Evoked Potential studies, including Visual Evoked Response (VER), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER), and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP).

Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during Electromyography (EMG) procedures as needed.

Provide high-quality neurodiagnostic testing while adhering to established clinical protocols and patient care standard
The Technologist in Training wil train in and assist with technical services to EEG and/or EMG.
Schedule
FTE: 1.0
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Days: Monday–Friday including after hours/weekend call
Qualifications:
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Completion of accredited AMA Program in Neurodiagnostic Technology which includes Electrodiagnostic components.
Necessary Skills:

Ability to perform all testing consistent with testing guidelines

Acquired skills and training to perform proficient and accurate EEG, Nerve Conduction and other physiological testing

Strong analytical skills, capacity to work with and effectively communicate with acute and chronically ill patients and the circumstances that surround these patients
Licensure/Certifications
Required: BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred: ABRET registered (R.EEGT.). Will accept Board Eligible AAET certified RNCST or CNCST.
Experience
Required: 1-2 years Acute care hospital setting or other healthcare related field
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience
Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups
