The Center for Holistic Development (CHD) is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Senior Family Violence Prevention Coach to join our Still We Rise (SWR) program.
The Senior Family Violence Prevention Coach serves as the lead direct-service professional within the program, providing trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy, coaching, education, service coordination, and resource navigation to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and family violence.
This position also provides day-to-day leadership and mentoring to Family Violence Prevention Coaches and works closely with the Holistic Family Support Manager to support strong program implementation, quality services, staff development, community partnerships, and positive participant outcomes.
What You'll DoParticipant Support & Direct Services
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 12–16 active participants and families.
- Complete participant screenings, assessments, individualized service plans, safety plans, and progress reviews.
- Provide trauma-informed and survivor-centered coaching, advocacy, parenting education, life-skills support, crisis intervention, and resource navigation.
- Connect participants with community resources including housing, behavioral health services, legal assistance, employment, childcare, transportation, and financial assistance.
- Help participants identify and overcome barriers while working toward individualized goals.
- Promote participant safety, dignity, confidentiality, self-determination, and healthy community connections.
Leadership & Staff Support
- Serve as a lead resource and mentor for Family Violence Prevention Coaches.
- Assist with staff onboarding, orientation, training, and professional development.
- Model best practices in trauma-informed care, participant engagement, professional boundaries, documentation, service planning, and resource navigation.
- Provide guidance and problem-solving support for complex participant situations.
- Assist with reviewing program documentation for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance.
- Identify service gaps, program trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support day-to-day program coordination and communication in partnership with the Holistic Family Support Manager.
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, victim-service organizations, legal resources, faith communities, and other referral partners.
- Represent CHD and Still We Rise at community meetings, outreach events, presentations, and networking opportunities.
- Support participant recruitment, engagement, and retention.
- Facilitate workshops, support groups, listening circles, and community presentations as assigned.
- Maintain current knowledge of community resources and referral options available to participants.
Documentation & Program Quality
- Complete required progress notes, assessments, service plans, referrals, attendance records, and other documentation within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate participant and program data using agency electronic documentation and tracking systems.
- Support compliance with agency policies, confidentiality standards, grant requirements, and funding expectations.
- Assist with program evaluation, outcome measurement, data review, and continuous quality-improvement activities.
- Provide accurate and timely information to support grant reports, performance reports, and program summaries.
What We're Looking For
Preferred Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional direct-service experience in social services, behavioral health, victim services, public health, family support, or a closely related field.
- Leadership, mentoring, team-lead, coaching, or program-coordination experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals or families impacted by domestic violence, intimate partner violence, family violence, trauma, or other significant barriers.
- Experience facilitating workshops, support groups, educational programming, or adult-learning activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, survivor-centered practices, domestic and family violence prevention, safety planning, crisis intervention, and child and family systems.
- Understanding of strengths-based case management, motivational interviewing, resource navigation, parenting education, and group facilitation.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to mentor and support team members while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately during sensitive or crisis situations.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and families with cultural humility, respect, and responsiveness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, electronic documentation systems, and online resource systems.
Education & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Public Health, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Health, or a closely related field.
- Equivalent combinations of relevant education and professional experience may be considered.
- Valid Nebraska driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance meeting agency requirements.
- Successful completion of required criminal background and child/adult abuse registry clearances.
- Drug testing required.
- Ability to travel throughout the service area as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on program needs.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
