ABOUT THE ROLE
We're a small ice cream brand that sells at Boston-area farmers markets. Each shift, you'll drive yourself to our base in Holliston, MA to pick up our branded cargo van, then drive it to the markets in Cambridge, Somerville, or Boston, set up the booth, scoop and sell for the day, pack everything down, and return the van to Holliston. Depending on the day, you may be working solo or alongside a partner — so you need to be just as capable and comfortable running the booth on your own.

Each shift begins and ends in Holliston, MA. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the van pickup location. Holliston is approximately 30–40 minutes west of Boston. If you are not able to reliably get yourself to Holliston by 10am on your scheduled days, this role is not a good fit.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE
10:00am Arrive at Holliston, pick up the cargo van
~11:30 Arrive at market, unload and set up full booth (includes lifting 50 lbs+ and using a loading ramp)
12–6pm Scoop, sell, and operate the booth — solo or with a partner — cash and card via Square POS
6–7pm+ Break down and pack up the full booth, drive van back to Holliston

Occasional special events also available. You won't necessarily work all four days — schedule depends on availability and market needs.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (you'll be operating a cargo van)
- Availability NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER. Please do not apply if you are not able to work until the end of October
- Reliable personal transportation to Holliston, MA by 10am on scheduled days
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and load/unload equipment from a van ramp
- Ability to run the booth independently when working solo
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Friendly, outgoing customer service skills — you're representing the brand
- Reliability — early departures and no-shows directly impact market sales

NICE TO HAVE
- Previous experience with Square POS or similar systems
- Food service, farmers market, or outdoor event experience
- Familiarity with the Boston neighborhood markets
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
