Position Overview:
The Design & Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for executing high-quality creative assets that strengthen the visual identity of O'Hern Resources, Nature's Grace & Wellness, Bud & Rita's, and affiliated brands.
This role follows approximately a 70% / 30% split between creative production and field marketing.
Approximately 70% of the position is focused on graphic design, digital marketing, social media management, content development, photography and video editing, and maintaining brand consistency across all customer touchpoints.
The remaining 30% is dedicated to supporting retail marketing initiatives through event execution, content capture, merchandising, community engagement, and field activations.
This position is ideal for a creative professional who enjoys producing polished design work in a collaborative office environment while also participating in live brand experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
70% | Creative Design & Digital Marketing
Graphic Design
· Design digital and print marketing collateral for multiple brands
· Produce sales materials, product collateral, presentations, signage, packaging support, advertisements, email graphics, website graphics, digital menus, and promotional assets
· Maintain brand consistency across all creative deliverables
· Prepare print-ready production files and coordinate revisions.
Digital Content Creation
· Develop graphics for social media, email marketing, websites, digital advertising, CRM campaigns, and internal communications
· Edit photography and create engaging short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other digital platforms
· Create presentation materials for sales, education, and executive leadership
Social Media Management
· Maintain the content calendar across company brands
· Schedule and publish social media content
· Draft engaging social copy aligned with each brand voice
· Monitor communicate engagement and respond or escalate as appropriate
· Monitor industry trends and identify content opportunities
Marketing Analysis
· Track campaigns performance and engagement metrics
· Assist with monthly reporting
· Recommend creative improvements based on campaign performance
· Monitor digital advertising and social media performance
Brand Management
· Maintain brand standards across all channels
· Perform quality assurance on creative deliverables before publication or production
· Update and organize marketing asset libraries
· Support ongoing creative development for existing and new product launches
30% | Field Marketing & Brand Activation
Event Support
· Assist with planning and execution of marketing activations
· Participate in trade shows, pop-ups, educational events, dispensary promotions, and community initiatives
· Coordinate event setup, merchandising, and teardown
Content Capture
· Capture high-quality photography and video during events
· Product authentic behind-the-scenes content
· Document activations for future marketing campaigns
Brand Ambassador
· Represent company brands professionally at industry events
· Education consumers and retail partners on company products
· Support relationship-building with dispensary partners and community organizations
Merchandising & Marketing Support
· Assist with merchandising displays and retail marketing materials
· Coordinate branded merchandise orders with approved vendors
· Support field marketing logistics as needed

Required Skills:
· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
· Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, branding, and visual hierarchy
· Experience producing both digital and print-ready artwork
· Experience editing photography and short-form video
· Working knowledge of social media management platforms and scheduling tools
· Strong written communication and copywriting skills
· Excellent organizational and project management skills
· Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail and quality control
· Professional communication skills with both internal teams and external partners
· Understanding of print production methods and specifications
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
· Willingness to travel locally and work occasional evenings or weekends for marketing events
Preferred Qualifications:
·5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, digital marketing, or brand content creation
· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience)
· Experience managing multiple brand identities simultaneously
· Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
· Familiarity with email marketing platforms and CRM marketing
· Experience working with photography, videography, and creative asset management
· Previous experience within regulated industries is a plus
· Familiarity with the Illinois cannabis industry is preferred but not required
Education/Experience:
Portfolio:
Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating brand identity work, graphic design, marketing collateral, social media campaigns, presentation design, print production, photography and/or video editing, digital advertising or website design.
Language Ability:
Excellent reading and writing skills in the English language with the ability to draft complex documents. Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, business correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Adobe Systems, Basic Desktop Operating systems, and other typical workstation software as needed.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, in-office position based at O'Hern Resources.
Employees are expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional evenings and weekends are required to support marketing events, activations, and community initiatives.
Physical Demands:
Employees must be able to stand for extended period during events, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, frequently bend, kneel, reach, and move event materials, operate photography and video equipment, and travel locally for field marketing activities.

The employee must submit any applications for, and acquire certifications, licenses, and badges as deemed necessary by the Company.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
