Job Overview
We are seeking an fun and skilled Bartender/Server to join our family. The ideal candidate will have a passion for bartending and serving and a strong commitment t0 hospitality in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to use a Point of Sale (POS) system, as well as a solid understanding of food safety and handling practices. Experience in casual dining and other restaurant settings is highly desirable.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Utilize POS system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverage orders.
- Serve Multiple tables at a time with grace and efficiency while providing great customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Stay informed about current trends in the food industry.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bartending or food service within a restaurant or tavern setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with guests effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the establishment's schedule.
