The newly renovated Gate City Grill located in the DoubleTree By Hilton is looking for a line cook. The Gate City Grill is located in the Coliseum area of Greensboro. We are rewarding, supportive, customer-centric and our goal is to take care of our team members and guest in a positive environment.
We are looking for a Line Cook to join our team in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, an eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to recipes, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to the highest standard and in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organized, as well as helping with food prep and storage.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals according to recipes and customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure that all food items are stored properly and safely.
- Follow proper food safety guidelines.
- Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Qualifications:
- Food preparation and cooking skills
- Experience in food service and handling
- Previous restaurant and kitchen experience
- Culinary background with knife skills
- Ability to plan menus and work in fine dining settings
- Knowledge of catering and serving practices
