Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker Technician II to join a high-quality manufacturing and refurbishment team in Chesterfield, MO. This position is ideal for a skilled craftsman with experience in cabinet making, woodworking, fabrication, or custom manufacturing who takes pride in producing precise, high-end finished products.
The Cabinet Maker Technician II will work on custom aviation interior components in a quality-driven, highly regulated environment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, fabricate, modify, and repair wood and other materials according to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate and assemble custom interior components while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Install hardware including screws, washers, rivets, plated components, electrical components, and related hardware.
- Work with a variety of materials including wood, metals, composites, laminates, carbon fiber, fiberglass, fabrics, leather, foam, glues, and adhesives.
- Inspect completed components to ensure workmanship and quality requirements are met.
- Perform assigned work with minimal supervision and communicate project status to leadership.
- Accurately document completed work and labor hours.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and other departments to meet project schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow established Quality Management System procedures and applicable FAA/regulatory requirements.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail while working in a schedule-driven production environment.
- Work various shifts and overtime when required.
- Be available for occasional overnight or short-notice travel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–5 years of related manufacturing, fabrication, refurbishment, or production experience.
- Aviation industry experience is preferred but not required with equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous cabinet making, woodworking, custom fabrication, or similar hands-on experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using measurements and working to precise specifications.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
- Routinely lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift 100+ pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and stooping.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Good hand and finger dexterity.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, around varying temperatures, at heights above six feet, and in noisy environments.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
